The Postmaster letter opener is a great gift project knife. It is 9-3/8" overall with .160" pin holes drilled in the tang for handle fastening. This is a fun kit design and is safe to build and use. This design is double-ground on both sides for easy letter opening in both directions!

The handle design is set up with (2) .165" holes for pins or handle fasteners. These can be easily drilled to any larger size, if needed.
