The Typhoon-S Trainer is designed to be the world's most realistic practice trainer and/or show balisong. Within this solid handle design is the foundation set by the famous Venturi custom balisong series knives designed by Darrel Ralph, where precision and balance are fundamental. With a 4.2 inch blade and a 4.8 inch handle, not only is the Typhoon-S Trainer one of the most balanced trick balisongs in the industry, but the grip, texture and handle weight can be ultimately refined to "your" own taste in the kit building process, making for one of the best values in the industry today, or ever! These are not cast metal parts, but fully milled, high quality components.

Our new "Swing Smart Edge" system is exactly that, "professionally ground, heat treated blade for performance, but unsharpened for the utmost in realism with added trick safety." Not only is it "unsharp", but has been deburred and is ready for pro-level flipping as soon as you assemble it. The tip is very pointy still and will "bite" you if you have bad technique, so realizm is preserved. And, best of all... you can master the most difficult tricks without fear of slicing injury. 

Darrel designed this solid handle model variation to exacting tolerances to make for a super high-tech instrument style butterfly knife trainer with maximum feel and weight customization potential.

The latch on this design is also modifiable to Batangas style or Manilla style carry (interchangeable to either handle). This kit can be built for standard use in about 10 minutes, or can be built as a customized piece to any modification level with as much time investment as desired. These are truely custom quality kits when built correctly.

The blade is cryo treated for stress relief and for grain refinement of the steel. This kit requires basic assembly, and minor smooth hand sanding for basic desired finish. The Typhoon-S requires Torx T8/T10 for assembly.
