This knife handle bushing is used to reduce the through-hole diameter on a knife handle tang. Using this model (BUSHING2), you would reduce a 1/4 inch (.250") tang hole down to a .184" hole. This reduction will allow a smaller diameter pin or fastener diameter to pass through cleanly, but will virtually eliminate side-to-side movement. Using a bushing reducer like this will provide you with far more artistic control over your final handle fastener diameter and will ensure that the resulting mechanical handle construction is safe and tight. These can also be used with handle epoxies to permanently affix the handle. In addition to use as a through-hole reducer, these knife handle bushings are very popular as folding knife standoffs (spacers), and can be used in many other applications, such as lanyard findings.
