This is Ukrainian Bog Oak wood. It is commonly used in exotic furniture, precision instrument inlays, and is very popular as a custom knife handle material. Bog Oak is deep in color and exhibits lots of grain and pattern. The natural texture of this material makes it especially good for improving grip.
These blocks have been additionally high-pressure stabilized with resin to increase durability and performance.
