HOLSTEX® Sheet - Basketweave/Smooth - (Killer Coyote) - (.080) - (8in x 8in) has been added to your Cart

The CKK Sheath/Holster Molding Press is the ultimate tool for professional and hobbyist sheath and holster makers. Constructed from ¼ inch steel plate with a durable black powder-coated finish, this press is designed for a lifetime of use. Crafted by experts, it delivers precision and reliability for every project.

Perfect for forming both flat-faced and full wraparound sheaths or holsters, this versatile press can be used for knives, handguns, web-gear, flashlights, magazine clips, and other items. The press allows you to mold with both top and bottom foam, or use a flat, hard surface like Micarta® or G10 for one side. The top plate is removable for quick height adjustments, giving you greater control over your projects. The channel locking system ensures the top plate stays in place, and the retention chain provides added security, allowing you to focus on other tasks while your heated material cools.

The 12-inch bench model includes pre-drilled footer holes for secure mounting, making it perfect for stable and consistent production. Say goodbye to clumsy clamps and loose foam, and enjoy a smoother, faster molding process with professional-grade results.

How to Use:

  1. Prepare Your Material: Heat your thermoplastic material (KYDEX®, HOLSTEX®, Boltaron®, or leather) to a temperature of 300-375°F (depending on the material and your oven settings). Be sure to evenly heat your material for the best results.

  2. Wrap Your Item: Once the material reaches the desired temperature, wrap it around the object you wish to mold (e.g., knife, gun, flashlight). Refer to our video tutorials for guidance on this step.

  3. Place in Molding Press: Insert the wrapped item into the molding press. The press can accommodate both foam-covered or flat-backed molding styles. Adjust the top plate for height as needed and secure it with the retention chain (optional).

  4. Apply Pressure: Apply pressure to ensure the material molds to the item. The press will automatically adjust the pressure needed for proper molding. Allow the material to cool and set into its final form.

  5. Remove Your Item: Once the material has cooled and hardened, carefully remove it from the molding press. Your sheath or holster is now ready for finishing!
