The Dixie Gambler Damascus Knife Kit features a USA-made full tang fixed blade blank crafted from layered carbon steel Damascus, designed for utility and skinning applications. Hollow-ground on both sides, this blade is ready to be built into a personal carry knife with excellent handling and flow. The blade measures 2.875 inches long and is 0.93 inches wide, providing a balanced size for detailed work or everyday carry. The overall length of the knife blank is 6.50 inches.
This knife blank includes eight 0.125-inch through-holes in the tang for secure handle construction, along with stainless steel pinstock for easy assembly. Additionally, a 0.250-inch pre-drilled thong hole allows customization with lanyards or other accessories. The tang holes can be modified to fit larger pinstock or threaded fasteners if desired. The blade is heat treated to a Rockwell hardness of 56 to 58 RC for durability and edge retention.
Crafted with 416 layers of Damascus steel formed from multiple carbon steel types including 52100, 5160, 203E, and 15n20, folded five times for a striking layered pattern and reliable strength.
