The Side Spur is a compact, USA-made Damascus knife kit designed for builders who value quality steel and a classic, functional profile. Crafted from high-performance carbon steel Damascus, this fixed-blade knife blank comes hollow-ground and ready to customize. It’s an ideal choice for a personal utility knife or compact everyday carry build.
With a blade length of 3.50 inches and an overall length of 8.125 inches, the Side Spur features a balanced size that works well for field tasks and general use. The 0.875 inch (7/8 inch) wide blade is ground on both sides and features three 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) through-holes for easy handle attachment. The tang can be modified for larger pins or threaded fasteners if desired. Stainless steel pinstock is included for handle construction.
Built with 416 layers of carbon steel Damascus, including 52100, 5160, 203E, and 15N20, this blade has been folded five times and heat treated to a hardness of 56–58 RC. The Side Spur is a reliable platform for makers who want to build something unique, functional, and American-made.
