The Virginia Skinner Damascus knife kit is a handcrafted USA-made fixed blade blank built for control, precision, and custom craftsmanship. This skinning-style blade blank is made from high-performance carbon steel Damascus and is hollow-ground and ready to be finished. Its design is well-suited for personal hunting knives, daily utility carry, or distinctive collectible builds.
With a blade length of 2.75 inches and an overall length of 7.375 inches, this compact yet capable design balances cutting power with maneuverability. The blade is 1.09 inches wide and ground on both sides for even performance. The full tang design includes three 0.156 inch holes for handle construction, with stainless steel pinstock included. The tang holes can be modified as needed to accommodate larger pinstock or threaded fasteners.
Forged from a blend of high-carbon steels folded five times, this Damascus configuration includes 416 total layers, giving it a striking layered finish and strong cutting characteristics. The Virginia Skinner is heat treated to a hardness of 56–58 RC, making it a reliable choice for hunters and knife builders alike.
